With so many bands performing at Coachella this year we at UE thought we would sift through all the bands to make sure you saw a few of the best.
On Day 1 make sure to check out Canadian favorites Metric, a female lead rock band that puts on one of the tightest shows at Coachella with great stage presence to match.
Johnny Marr, formerly of The Smiths & Modest Mouse , will be playing a solo show in support of his new record. Because The Smiths (who were offered 5 million dollars to play Coachella and turned it down) will never play this or any other show ever again, this may be the closest you come to seeing the legendary act.
Day 2. Though Sigur Ros just put out a brilliant new record and are incredible live you might want to skip them and see them in concert when they are indoor and closer to home; the outdoor sweat fest isn’t always the best place to see this ambient & mellow Icelandic band. Instead you might want to check out the British electronic rock band Hot Chip or UK megastars Biffy Clyro, two bands a bit more conducive to the surroundings.
Day 3. Try your best to catch the biggest spectacle on any Coachella stage by checking out the Wu-Tang Clan; the chaos on stage mixed with some of the most legendary Rap artists to date will absolutely be worth it. The Faint are back in the mix after a long hiatus, every electronic driven show we have seen has been incredible. Newcomers Tame Impala will enthrall, be sure to catch this Australian psychedelic rock act so you can say you saw them before they were huge.
